This month’s topic is U.S. Savings Bonds. You
will learn more about the different types and series of savings bonds.
Other items reviewed will include; how to increase participation in your
employee deductions, new improved- easier ways to provide the employee
bond information to the Federal Reserve and how the savings bond program
works for you.
In
addition we will be celebrating National Payroll Week. Please come and
join us for cake, games, and giveaways.
Speaker Biography -
Carl S. Lee
Carl Lee was selected as a Communications Specialist for the Investor
Education and Communications Staff, Bureau of the Public Debt,
Department of the Treasury, on September 22, 2003. He is responsible
for the planning, execution and evaluation of assigned investor
education and communications projects, communicating with targeted
audiences in support of Treasury securities, creating information
strategies, and representing Public Debt in a variety of external
settings.
Prior to that
selection, Mr. Lee was a Bond Sales Promotional Representative for the
Savings Bonds Marketing Office, Bureau of the Public Debt, Department of
the Treasury. As a BSPR, he was responsible for the marketing, sale and
retention of U.S. Savings Bonds. He worked extensively with federal
and private sector employers, financial institutions, labor and chamber
organizations, and the media within the, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
area. He also served as senior Area Manager for the Baltimore,
Maryland, office of the Savings Bonds Division.
Before joining the
Treasury Department in 1971, Mr. Lee served two years in the United
States Army. Mr. Lee was born on February 6, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA,
attended the Philadelphia Community College, and the Philadelphia
College of Textile and Science, for Business Administration and
Marketing.
Mr. Lee has more
than 33 years of federal government service. He is married with four
children, and two stepchildren, and currently resides in Manassas,
Virginia.
