Thursday, March 18, 2004.
This month’s topic is
Garnishments. This
½ day session includes such items as reviewing types of
garnishments, employer responsibility, limits on amounts deducted, and
penalties that may apply. In addition to the calculations, we’ll review
determining the priority of multiple garnishments and employer
liability. Plus we will be looking at the time frames of payment
requirements, remittance of withholding, and automated options.
In addition, this month our community
outreach effort is Sharing
and Caring Hands. Please consider bringing non-perishable food
items, personal hygiene products, or a personal check donation to the
meeting with you. We appreciate your contribution in helping out this
great organization.
