Board Meeting Minutes - March 15, 2004
Meeting called to order at 11:30 a.m.

ATTENDEES:  Sharlene Smith, Robin Murphy, Karen Klein, Peggy Jarombek, Barb Batt, Dena Kerr, Barb Muellerleile, and Patrick White

Patrick updated us on the information regarding SPORG [the credit card processing option].  After discussing the issues, a motion was made to proceed with SPORG, and seconded.  It was then approved by those at the meeting.

It was decided that we would notify the members at the March 18^th meeting of the committee volunteers needed.  Patrick said he would work on a sign-up sheet to set out on the tables for the members to sign if they were interested in being a volunteer.   It was also decided that we would give the volunteers a “thank you gift” when the committee actually takes place.  Some ideas were:

Karen Klein will be attending the Chapter Leadership Program starting on June 12^th.  This seminar is training for current or future leaders of our chapter.  It is a 2 day seminar [Friday and Saturday] held in San Antonio, Texas.  It was mentioned that the next vice president would have a lot of benefit in going with Karen.  The registration is free along with hotel accommodations for two nights and meals.  The only cost is the air fare, and the second hotel room.

The proxima projector is still in the process of getting repaired.  It was originally about a $3000 machine and the repair cost is currently only over $300.  If it still is not working correctly after the repair, Barb M will notify us of other options.

As a reminder, a biography is to be written by each Board Member and e-mailed to Patrick to place on the internet.  We are supposed to be consistent to the other biography’s that have been written; Robin e-mailed us a copy of a biography on February 18^, 2004.
