It's National Payroll Week and the Northstar Board Of Directors sends their appreciation to the membership for your support and contribution to the payroll profession and for being a member of one of the best organizations in the US! The American Payroll Association Did you know that YOU as a Payroll Professional: Contribute to the collection of 70% of the gross federal revenue which is nearly 1.2 Trillion!Collectively process paychecks for more than 135 million workers in America. Play a key role in crucial government programs including the enforcement of FLSA, child support deductions and payments, social security taxes and benefits, unemployment insurance, Medicare and so much more, Are expanding your experiences to other disciplines such as enterprise systems, benefits, global payments and many more.
This is an exciting time to be part of the payroll profession.
Please remember that each of you counts! Your dedication to doing things
right has contributed to the recognition our profession has been
receiving over the past few years.
So we hope you tooted your horn a bit this week or this month!
And if you did we want to hear from you. Here's how. Complete a
National Payroll Week 2001 Individual Activity Contest Form (Individual
Activity Review) for all of the great things you have done to recognize NPW.
The form can be found at the APA website http://www.americanpayroll.org/npw.html (NPW
Reporting Forms).
These forms can be turned in at our next monthly meeting Friday,
September 21 at the Metropolitan, or mail to:

The deadline to submit your information
is Friday, September 21st.
The Northstar Chapter's deadline to submit all this information
to APA National is September 28th. So let's make the Northstar Chapter
submission shine!
