Meeting called to order at 12:10
p.m.
ATTENDEES:
Marla Haley, Robin Malik-Swisher, Peter Matthias, Teri
McCaleb, Denice McMahon, Marsha Smith, & Sharlene Smith
Marsha asked for volunteers to help drop off Toys for Tots
donations after the December 20th Chapter meeting.
Everyone was willing to help out!
Peter asked about posting Financial Statements on the web
site in the Members only Section.
Peter will work with Joel to set up.
Peter also mentioned that he hasn’t received $600 from two
vendors for the Fall Conference.
He will check with Ann Johnson on the collection status. Also, if anyone has outstanding receipts from the conference,
please send to Peter for reimbursement.
Teri will contact Joel and ask about adding a line to
December’s web site Registration regarding e-mail registration
reminders. Hopefully,
this will cut down on the registrations that are being mailed monthly.
Next months topic is Personal Development.
Sharlene will notify us when she has found a speaker.
Sharlene is also working on a write-up for the March 2002
meeting that will feature Frank Abagnale.
Frank is one of the world’s most respected authorities on the
subjects of forgery, embezzlement and secure documents.
For over 25 years, he has lectured to and consulted with
hundreds of financial institutions, corporations and government
agencies around the world. Marla
will check with Medtronic regarding use of their facility for the
meeting. We are planning on 200 to 300 people attending, including
employees from the Risk Management/Treasury areas.
All board members were asked to review how much they plan on
spending in 2002 for Chapter meetings and to bring that information to
the December meeting. Board
members should also print out their position job descriptions from the
web site and bring to the next month’s meeting for review.
Marla mentioned that we need to start soliciting volunteers
at the February 2002 meeting for the October 2002 Conference.
There will be two brainstorming topic sessions one for APA and
one for IHRIM. After
these first sessions, the remaining planning meetings will have both
groups together.
Robin is working on a 2001 Chapter Highlights report to issue
to members in December.
The Board will have an outing in February to the Chanhassen.
Denice or Teri will be contacting members about dates.
Meeting adjourned at 12:30 p.m.
