The November
Year-End ½ day session was discussed.
Jeff is waiting to hear back from Patty Lake as to whether or
not she is available November 16th.
The December meeting topic is Personal Development.
New CPP’s
will be recognized at November’s meeting.
Robin will pick up Mum’s for all the new CPP’s.
Rick Seifert
will talk with Terry Meggitt and find out what is being told to
participants of the CPP study groups regarding membership and free
meetings. The board
discussed having different fees for Northstar members versus
non-members.
Terry Meggitt
has 2 Payroll Source books left over from the study groups.
The Board decided to auction off the Payroll Source books and
the History of Payroll book at the December meeting. The proceeds from the auction will go to the families
that the Northstar Chapter sponsors for Christmas.
Robin mentioned
that there was not enough information sent in for National Payroll
Week. The Chapter will
not be sending an entry to National this year.
The board
discussed how to get members more involved with the organization. Rick will review the membership database to see who checked
that they would be willing to volunteer.
The board will have a meeting after the December meeting to
talk with anyone that is interested in serving.
The board
positions that are open are the Conference Chair, and the
Communications Director. The
committee member positions open are:
National Payroll Week, Chapter of the Year, Newsletter, and
the Web site. The
Conference ChairPerson is responsible for organizing the annual
conference and having CPP certificates available at monthly
meetings. The
Communications Director will oversee committee members who will be
responsible for National Payroll Week, Chapter of the Year, the Web
Site, and the Newsletter. If
anyone is interested in any of these positions, please contact a
board member.
Robin also
mentioned that we should have an orientation for new members to let
them know what the Northstar Chapter does.
