 | Financial Update Rick gave us the income statement for the
first two quarters of our fiscal calendar. We are in good shape. We have final figures for
the Minnesota State Conference last September. We had a profit of $12,250.00 after
splitting it with IHRIM group. |
 | Conference Elise is looking for volunteers for this
years conference committee. As a group we talked about the great response that we
received form the vendor fair. Elise will get out letters to last years vendor
participants letting them know about the upcoming conference in October and that we would
like their participation for this years event. Robin will mention at our February
meeting that we are looking for those people in our membership that would be interested in
helping out. |
 | Membership The August through December renewal notices have
been sent out. We have gotten about a 50% response. We talked about how long to keep those
without responses on our membership database. Elise Motioned to have them dropped after 6
months of no response, and Jerry seconded it. We have had 29 new members, and in total we
are down about 45 or 50 members. We talked about updating our membership brochure for the
hard copy. The web page has an updated version with our new price included. Marge will
check with Gail Koch to see if she has a copy of the old brochure that we used to make our
changes on for printing and determine which vendor we are ordering through. |
 | Board position opened for Secretary Nancy is too busy at work
with Implementation of a new payroll system so she has to step down from her
responsibilities. We will have Denise put a notice on the Web that we are looking for
someone to fill this position. Robin has asked each of us if we know of anyone that might
be interested. Jerry had one person that he thought of. He mentioned that he would ask
them if they were interested. |
 | Chapter of the Year Pictorial Ann is looking for some help
with this. She will contact us and let us know what help is needed and when it needs to be
done. |
 | Programs for 2000 Jeff put together a list of monthly program
topics for this year. We discussed each topic and gave suggestions for possible speakers
and gave our input on the topics. Jeff will update this for our meeting in February. We
would like to get this list posted on the Web for our members. |
 | Out State Members Robin brought up the topic - What can we do
for our members that are outside the metro area? Rick will check our database and with the
APA to see where there is a large amount of members. We talked about putting together a
half day or full day recap of our monthly meeting topics for them and planning a Saturday
session. Elise mentioned that she would check with SHIRM to see what they do for their
members outside of the metro area. |
 | Web page. The rate for the web page administration is increasing from
$50.00 per hour to $65.00 per hour. Denise has a proposed contract with Joel Baglien
through May, 2000 to continue updating our web page. Robin mentioned that she would like
some added items to continue this. We would like to get things updated timely, such as our
monthly meeting notices etc. Marge motioned this and Elise seconded it. |
 | Community Service Activities With the busy schedule for all of
our members we talked about four times a year having something that we could do at our
monthly meeting, like we have done with the food drive and holiday gift collection. We
will mention to our members that if they know of an organization that could use our help
to let us know. |
