The IRS has released the following notice regarding changes to the employee certification:

Notice---Change to employee certification on 2005 Form W-4.
Employers using electronic systems for employee submissions of Forms W-4, substitute return developers, and software programmers must update their products to reflect the new employee signature certification ("jurat") that appears on the 2005 Form W-4.  The revised jurat reads as follows:  "Under penalties of perjury, I declare that I have examined this certificate and to the best of my knowledge and belief, it is true, correct, and complete."  No variances from the specified text are allowed.
