D. Exempt vs. Nonexempt Classification
Workshop Leader:  Michelle Sether

This session will provide an overview of the 2004 changes to the White Collar Exemption rules under the Fair Labor Standards Act.  The White Collar Exemption determines which employees are exempt from the minimum wage and overtime requirements of the FLSA.  We will look at a few jobs that could be nonexempt per the guidelines and discuss a few items to consider if a job changes exemption status.  This presentation is based upon a compensation analyst's understanding of the FLSA rules, and not from a lawyer’s perspective.

E.  Managing Health Care Cost
Workshop Leader:  Andrew McDevitt

As health care co-payments and premiums rise, individuals need to start planning for these increased costs and implement strategies to minimize the impacts to their personal and/or family budgets.  This workshop will explain why health care costs are skyrocketing and will provide information on how to plan and budget for these increases for the long term.

F.  Panel Discussion on PA and OH Local Taxes
Workshop Leader:  Robin Murphy, CPP & Marnee Kugler, CPP

This workshop provides participants with an understanding of Pennsylvania and Ohio local tax issues such as municipality and school district taxes, special local tax issues in both states and an opportunity for questions and answers throughout the session.  Attendees may submit questions in advance by e-mailing robin.murphy@deluxe.com or mrkugler@landolakes.com
