FMLA - Family Medical Leave Act Caryn will review the basics of the FMLA and discuss the areas of the law that have caused employers problems and exposed them to potential liability. E. Transitioning To A PTO Plan Has your senior management team been discussing transitioning from a vacation plan to a personal time off (PTO) plan? Have you asked yourself, what does this mean to payroll and the employees? Hear how one company transitioned from vacation to PTO and what policies/practices changed as a result of this change. F. Taxable Fringe Benefits How many times have you been caught off guard with awards, gifts, prizes and other items that you need to include in taxable compensation? Are you always the "BAD GUY" or tagged as a "NON-TEAM PLAYER" because you need to enforce compliance? Here is your chance to educate your organization on some of the issues that you incur when faced with taxable fringe benefits. In this session we will explore some of the lesser known fringes that slip between the cracks and create a compliance issue for your organization. We will also explore some ways to be proactive and hopefully drop the titles and maintain compliance. |
