Tools to Reduce Stress in the Workplace
Learn the impact of
your assumptions on your stress level and the tools of identification,
mindfulness and focused breathing as ways to be more productive.
 | Stress
 | Defining your stress - What it means to you |
 | Do 3 cups of coffee, two donuts and a little candy really increase
my stress? |
 | Do you wonder who's in charge of your life. Did I really say I
would do that? |
|
 | Assumptions:
 | Who me? "Talk to myself". |
 | Listening is a "response-ability" |
 | I can quit doing this anytime - I think! |
 | Using our imagination or "far side". |
|
 | Mindfulness
 | Who came up with the idea of multi-tasking anyway? |
 | Your demands, my priorities - shall we dance? |
 | When cutting off your nose to spite your face make sure you're
right and other ideas for stressing effectively. |
|
 | Breathing
 | How long before I turn blue? |
 | Does air really belong in my torso? |
 | How lying down on the job can be productive |
|
Did you know that people under stress eat more sugar? That's why
"Stressed" spelled backwards is "Desserts"!
|
Kathleen Henry
Kathleen Henry has been a consultant and small business owner for the
past 20 years. Kathleen works daily with people who are challenged by the
opportunities that change presents. Our capacity for change requires the
use of both left and right brain skills, with the left brain processing
linear functions and the right providing social skills and emotion.
Understanding these differences allows people to accept change as an
opportunity.
An outline of Kathleen's presentations is included in the column to the
left.

This session will
focus on specific actions that HR, payroll, and IT people can take to work

you believe it?) don't want to see things your way. |
